NIFF Submissions - Early Deadline 3 May
An early bird deadline for film submissions to the Noosa International Film Festival is fast approaching on 3 May.
Organisers are already thrilled with both the broad international reach and the number of entries received across the three short film competitions in Australia’s newest film festival.
In addition to healthy representation of Australian films, films submitted to date are from countries including Iran, UK, Austria, Pakistan and Egypt. Submitted films are across numerous genres including drama, documentary, comedy, time-lapse and horror.
Filmmakers still working on their submissions need not despair, as there are two further deadlines - the regular deadline on 5 July and an extended deadline for 2 August.
Entries are being accepted exclusively via global film festival platform, FilmFreeway.com.
The NIFF Open short film competition is open to filmmakers from around the world of any genre.
The Ecoflicks Open and Youth categories will showcase environmentally-themed short films and encourage participation in environmentally aware filmmaking.
Noosa International Film Festival will run from 3-6 November 2016 and is being billed as a celebration of great films, and the art of making them.
In addition to official selection entries from the short film competitions, other cinematic highlights will include feature length titles, a silent movie classic as well as filmmaking masterclasses, a gala opening, and Filmmaker Q&A.
The Festival program will be brought together from the four corners of the globe by a panel of cinema experts and presented to an Australia-wide audience at select venues throughout the world-renowned destination of Noosa.
