Holly Pittman

PRESIDENT & CURATOR

Holly joined the NIFF management committee in 2017 as co-curator and this year steps in as Festival President and Curator.  Her passion and in depth knowledge of film is evident - as a member of the Noosa Film Society since 2004 and currently President, her past roles involved film research and programming, publicity and marketing. She regularly attends international film festivals, both in Australia and overseas. These include the Sydney Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival and short film festivals such as Tropfest, the Manhattan Shorts and Flickerfest. She is a founding juror for the Heart of Gold International Film Festival, now in its eleventh year.

Alison Cooper

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

Alison is a marketing communications specialist and social media strategist with an interest in festival-style events and purpose-driven businesses. With experience in corporate and online communications, event marketing and a Bachelor of Public Relations, Alison is excited to be leading the NIFF marketing team and also manages the Festival's social media channels. NIFF is proud of Alison's recent achievement receiving a 2018 Queensland Day Award for her continuous efforts volunteering her time to the festival.

SECRETARY

Maree is passionate about film and does her bit to share the art form through Eumundi World Cinema. Her background is strategic marketing helping corporate, small business and community organisations to achieve their goals. She is a serial volunteer having worked for Noosa Long Weekend, Free Noosa campaign, International Body Art Carnival, Tourism Noosa marketing committee and Eumundi Combined Community Organisation.

Louise McNeish

TREASURER

Louise is the principal of LMC Accounting and Financial Services, located in the heart of Noosa. The team at LMC provide its clients with a high standard of service that is friendly and professional. Louise is a Registered Tax Agent, Certified Practising Accountant and has a Diploma in Financial Services. Louise has been in public practice for some 14 years and has been the Principal of LMC since 2012.

 

Arnold Kopff
 

Arnold Kopff

TECHNICAL CONSULTANT

After 22 years running his software engineering firm, Arnold sold the company and embarked on a second career as a filmmaker. Four of his feature-length travel films have been broadcast on San Francisco television and a station in Shanghai has broadcast one of his short nature documentaries. Arnold has also won an international award for cinematography. He is currently the president of the Eumundi World Cinema film society and was the Festival Curator for the first and second Noosa International Film Festivals. This year Arnold is the festival’s Technical Consultant.

Tasha Lawton

FILMMAKER LIAISON

Tasha has been involved with the media in some form or another for her entire career. She started out in advertising, moved across into TV and radio and now runs a successful video production and marketing agency. She holds a Diploma in Screen, Film and Media and along the way, has produced, directed, filmed and edited a number of short films, with a feature length documentary currently in production. Tasha's fascinated by real people and real stories and believes that film is one of the best ways to unleash your creative genius. "Cinema is as close to magic as it comes these days".

Sarah Radge

DESIGNER & WEBSITE

Sarah is an award winning Graphic Designer with a background in web, graphic design and print. Sarah's eye for current and eye-catching artwork saw her win Gold at the prestigious 2015 Southern Cross Packaging Design Awards. With an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design and a background in hospitality and event management, she is passionate about making the Festival memorable for everyone.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Michelle is a Graphic Designer and Founder of 123create. She is all about talking, meeting new people, exploring and learning about new industries and maintaining great partnerships. Her 4 year journey traveling throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa has given her a huge insight into other cultures, landscapes and art. This time in her life definitely influences how she approaches design today. Her curiosity and love of film has landed her a role in the NIFF team and she is very excited to give her creative sparkle to the event.

EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR

Breanna comes to us from Melbourne with a varied work and volunteer history in the areas of book publishing, international development, women’s rights, fundraising and event management. Breanna graduated last year from a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights & Politics and is passionate about the impact films can have in changing world views and creating forums for mindful discussion.

COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA SUPPORT

Eliza is Program and Communications Manager/Veterinarian at the Kyeema Foundation (www.kyeemafoundation.org). She spends half her time on the Sunshine Coast and the other half in East Africa. She is passionate about the power of film to connect people and create social change. In 2018 she coordinated the Queensland launch of the Australian Festival of African Film (AFAF) partnering with Kyeema Foundation. She has come on board the the communications team at NIFF to be part of growing community and the arts here in the region and is keen to learn as much as possible about running film festivals!

MEDIA & PUBLICITY SUPPORT

Debbie moved to Noosa from England 15 years ago, having run a successful PR Agency with her husband for over 10 years. More recently Debbie developed an e-commerce business, but she is now looking forward to lending communications support to such an exciting local Festival.

I feel privileged to be heading the Volunteer team for NIFF in 2018. My role with Noosa Alive Volunteers will have ended by the time this festival rolls around, leaving me invigorated and ready to lead another team of willing Volunteers.

TICKETING SUPPORT

Ray joins NIFF after finishing up at Sydney Film Festival 2018. He has been inspired by film since seeing his first cinema experience, The Lion King, in Wellington, New Zealand.

 

Bruce Hamilton
 

Bruce Hamilton

OPERATIONS

Bruce boasts more than 45 years’ experience in community theatre in Western Australia and locally and NIFF is fortunate to have Bruce head up its Production team. He has toured as sound designer/operator for several independent theatre productions in Queensland, and as sound recording engineer for a number of locally produced movies.He was involved for several years with the Heart of Gold Film Festival on the selection panel, and as a sponsor. He has also worked as Stage Manager and Production Manager for the Noosa Long Weekend Festival, and as MC and recording engineer for various Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestras and classical music groups.

Trent Harvison

OPERATIONS

Trent is the director of Starry Nights Outdoor Movies - screening outdoor movies and drive-ins in the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW since 2009. With a Masters in Community Development, and having worked in communities and not-for-profits in QLD and NT, Trent is passionate about the role that movies and film play in bringing people together and in celebrating all that is good about Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. Trent is a founding curator of the NIFF.
